DexoPad Terms of Service
Effective date: August 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DexoPad mobile app, DexoPad website, related software and online services, and any DexoPad BLE HID dongle used with them (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided by PalmBlock Technology Co., Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong ("PalmBlock," "we," "us," or "our"). "DexoPad" is a product name we use for the Services.
By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The DexoPad Services
DexoPad allows a compatible iPhone or iPad, together with a DexoPad dongle, to act as a Bluetooth Low Energy HID keyboard, mouse, touchpad, or macro controller. Features may depend on your device, operating system, network connection, dongle firmware, and the computer or other host device you control.
We may improve, update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid materially disrupting paid functionality, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or compatible with every device.
3. Accounts and Security
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, safeguard access to your account and sign-in provider, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.
You may delete your account and associated personal data at dexopad.com/account/delete. For information about our data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Services only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You must not:
- use the Services to access or control a device without authorization;
- use the Services for fraud, harassment, abuse, surveillance, or other unlawful conduct;
- interfere with, disrupt, damage, or overload the Services or related systems;
- bypass security, authentication, usage, or access controls;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- introduce malware or harmful code; or
- use the Services in a way that infringes another person's rights.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Services, or third parties, or when we reasonably believe these Terms have been materially violated.
5. User Content and Commands
The Services may process text, macros, keyboard layouts, voice input, device names, or other content and commands you provide ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited license to process it only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and authorization needed to provide User Content and send commands to connected devices. DexoPad transmits input selected or created by you; you remain responsible for reviewing that input and its effects.
6. Purchases, Paid Features, and Refunds
Hardware orders, preorders, subscriptions, usage packs, or other paid features may be subject to additional terms shown at purchase. Prices, taxes, billing intervals, and included usage will be disclosed before you complete a transaction.
Purchases made through Apple's App Store are also governed by Apple's applicable payment and refund rules. Other purchases are subject to the cancellation, return, refund, and warranty terms presented at checkout and any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7. Software License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the DexoPad app and firmware solely with compatible devices for their intended purpose.
The Services, including their software, design, branding, documentation, and other content, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, these Terms do not grant you any ownership right in the Services.
8. Third-Party Services
The Services may depend on or link to third-party platforms and services, including Apple, Google, Firebase, and Sentry. Their own terms and policies may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, but this does not limit any responsibility we have under applicable law for our selection or use of service providers.
9. Updates and Availability
We may provide app or firmware updates that are required for security, reliability, compatibility, or continued use of certain features. You are responsible for maintaining compatible devices and installing required updates within a reasonable time.
The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, network failures, third-party outages, security incidents, or events outside our reasonable control.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or configuration.
DexoPad is a general-purpose input tool. It is not designed for emergency, medical, life-support, safety-critical, or other use where failure or delay could cause death, personal injury, or significant property damage.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PalmBlock and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death, personal injury, or violation of mandatory consumer rights.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold PalmBlock harmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your User Content, or your material violation of these Terms. This section does not require you to indemnify us for our own wrongdoing.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the relevant Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure before termination.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions—will survive.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and PalmBlock submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory right you have to bring a claim in your place of residence or through a consumer protection authority.
Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.
15. Apple-Specific Terms
If you obtained the DexoPad app through Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and PalmBlock, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the applicable provisions against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, or our business. We will post the updated Terms here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required. Your continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
